Description:
The purpose of this program is to create a safe and challenging
atmosphere where campers can enhance their western riding skills, deepen their
horsemanship knowledge, and enjoy the special pleasure of riding with friends
in the rustic hill country.
A typical day will consist of feeding, catching, grooming, saddling,
unsaddling, taking care of tack and learning to better understand and
communicate with horses. We will work in
the ring to hone basic and advanced riding skills as well as to increase
agility in barrel racing and pole bending. Two hour and more advanced day long trail rides through the hill country
will be part of the Clinic program.
There will be an opportunity most afternoons to relax and swim in the
river as well as enjoy campfires together at night. No formal horseback training is necessary for
applying, but you must have some experience with western riding, be willing to
work hard, and be highly motivated to improve your horsemanship and riding
skills.
